Northeast Contractors, Inc. completed the site work for the Hospital of the Future project at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.  The project began in May of 2008 and was completed in September of 2010.  The site work included a 60’ deep excavation on the existing hospital campus with 150,000 cubic yards of excess soils to offsite disposal.

The main hospital access road was also re-constructed with new main electric lines, drain lines, paving and curbs.  Northeast Contractors, Inc, also constructed a new rooftop garden on the 6^th floor of the new hospital with landscaping, pavers and specialty fixtures.  The total project value was $350,000,000.00 with a site work value of $7,880,000.00.
